In the land of ice and fire, where landscape is rendered visible from the subtle northern lights, a hiking experience is shaped through a passage of time through the gradations of earth and sky.
The hiking cabin should place us in relationship with the world along that course as such.
Through carefully framed views from configurations of the private – public and the position of the body at rest, the shelter becomes a moment of pause, rest, reflection, renewed understanding, and a reminder to continue the journey once again the sunrise tomorrow.
