Sometimes, design does not have to always rely on adding new things, but simply reorganizing to clear up new spaces in quantity and quality.

 

In phase three of IDEO’s renovation, the periphery, window facing spaces, are reorganized to be one continuous, colored, and dropped ceiling spaces to give more intimacy and defined spaces for the designers, where they constantly shifting teams and desk layouts.

 

The spaces in the center become the raw, public, and admin spaces, flexibly mediated with soft curtains, all together simultaneously accommodating to individual and group habits, as well as addressing proximity and division in large working spaces.

 

 

Note:
This is a partial renovation on a previous design of the whole space, and tries to retain as much of existing floor and ceilings and open spaces.
